1. What is the minimum age I should have to join Grafton College?

Students applying to GCMS must not be younger than 18 years of age.

2. How long will it take Grafton College to process my application?

We are generally very quick. Most applications are processed within 48 hours. The postal system in your country will determine how long it will take for your acceptance letter to get to us.


3. Does the College provide any scholarships?

Yes, Grafton College provides special scholarships for deserving students on merit bases.


4. What are the English requirements?

Those applicants whose first language is not English or previous qualifications are not in English will require IELTS band 5.0 for Undergraduate courses and IELTS Band 6.0 for Postgraduate
courses.

5. How many lectures will I have each week?

This varies according to the course but all courses at Grafton College of Management Sciences comply with immigration regulations that foreign students should have at least 15 contact hours per week.


6. What is the closing date for Applications?

Applications may be accepted up to the start of the Academic Year usually during the 3 different intakes of each year.


7. Is there any application fee?

Yes, the application fee is £75 for London campus. There is no registration fee when enrolling at our Dublin campus.

8. Do I need a study visa to come to the UK?

If your country is listed under visa national countries then you need a visa, for country details you can check with the Home Office or Department of Justice websites as well.


9. What are the starting dates of the programmes?

January, April and September.


10. Can the College contact an Embassy or High Commission to help me get a visa?

No. The only information that the College can give about a student is provided in the documentation that we send to the student for presentation with a visa application. It is very unlikely that an Embassy or High Commission will dispute this information.

11. Why do foreign students have to pay tuition fees in advance?

The only students who need to pay tuition fees in advance are those who require a visa. Immigration officers like to see tuition fees paid in advance because it shows that the student genuinely intends to follow the course.


12. Do I need Medical and Travel Insurance?

All students are advised to obtain both in their own country prior to departure. Grafton College can organise medical insurance on the students’ behalf and details can be issued on request.


13. Will the College help in extension of Visa?

Grafton College provides you full assistance in visa extensions for the next following year provided you enroll for next year study and you are not in breach of any Immigration rules set by the Home office in UK or Department of Justice in Ireland.


14. What accommodation is available?

In London, homestay accommodation is arranged through Hostfamilylondon.com. In Dublin, hostel or homestay accommodation is available. You will have to notify us in advance if you wish to arrange your accommodation through the College.
