Accreditation and Co-ordination of English Language Services (ACELS)

The Accreditation and Coordination of English Language Services (ACELS) is a legacy function of Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI). ACELS is currently the national body responsible for the development and management of an inspection/ recognition scheme for English Language Teaching organisations (ELTOs) nationally.

TEFL-Teaching English as a Foreign Language

The TEFL Qualification is recognised by the Department of Education & Science for the Teaching of English as a Foreign Language.

Recognised by ACELS, a service of Quality and Qualifications Ireland, for English language teaching (ELT).
Marketing English in Ireland (MEI) is Ireland’s leading association of English language schools in Ireland.

Trinity College London

Grafton College is a Trinity College London Registered Exam Centre for Integrated Skills in English (ISE) exams.

Trinity’s Integrated Skills in English (ISE) qualification is a contemporary multi-skills language exam designed for people who need English language skills for study. With a strong focus on real language performance and promoting the development of transferable skills for academic study and employability, ISE assesses the communicative skills needed to succeed in the 21st century.


In Germany, the institution of Bildungsurlaub allows employees from any sector to apply for up to an extra 5 days of educational leave that are to be used for professional advanced training.
