If you are a school leaver and are looking to apply to Grafton College, you can choose from two options, i.e. make an application through the CAO system or apply directly to the College.
CAO Applications
If you are planning to apply for a full-time undergraduate programme and are under the age of 23, you should make your application through the CAO system.
CAO stands for Central Applications Office. The CAO is responsible for processing admissions applications for first year undergraduate courses centrally and in an efficient and fair manner, whereby any decisions on admissions are made by the Higher Education Institutions (HEI).

CAO Selection Procedure
Decisions on applications are normally made in August/September once the results of the annual school-leaving examinations are published.
Your acceptance on a course is generally based on the number of points that you achieve in your School Leaving Certificate. These points are calculated by adding the six best results of recognised subjects.
